Plot
Well-written script, but honestly I shouldn't have expected anything less from the writers of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Anyone with a best friend from Day 1 (like me) — this movie is gonna hit right at home.
Cinematography
Okay, I'm not even kidding: this is the best animation I've ever seen in a movie. So many different styles blended together, super anime-inspired, and just so fucking creative. Hands down the best part of the film.
Sound
Whoever curated the soundtrack deserves a massive raise. So many different genres packed in, and every single track hits at the exact right moment.
My Take
I am seated for whatever these directors touch next. They're 2-for-2 with some of the best animated movies I've ever witnessed. Plus, the representation was done so well — love that we finally have a Filipino-focused animated movie doing numbers on the big screen. This movie was straight gaaaaaaaaas.
